Furniture & Mattress Removal
Couches, mattresses, and bed frames are heavy, awkward, and a pain to fit in a regular trash pickup. We carry it out so you don't have to.

Furniture and mattresses make up more of our calls than anything else, and for good reason: your city trash service almost never takes them, and hauling a queen mattress down two flights of stairs alone is a bad way to spend a Saturday. We handle single pieces and full-room loads the same way, with two-person crews built to move heavy, bulky items without damaging your walls, floors, or door frames.
Why True North
We show up with furniture dollies, moving blankets, and a crew trained to navigate tight stairwells and narrow apartment hallways, common in Oxford's older homes and student housing near the Square. Mattresses and box springs get separated for recycling where local facilities allow it, instead of going straight to a landfill.

Furniture & Mattresses FAQ
Can you get a couch out of a second-floor apartment?+
Yes. Narrow stairwells and tight turns are common in Oxford's older buildings and student housing, and our crews come with the right equipment and experience to navigate them without damaging walls or doorframes.
Do you take furniture that's damaged or falling apart?+
Yes. Torn, stained, or broken furniture is still furniture to us. We're not a donation pickup service, so condition doesn't affect whether we'll take it, though usable pieces get routed to donation when possible.
Do you recycle mattresses instead of landfilling them?+
When a mattress recycling option is available for the load, we use it. Mattresses are one of the bulkiest landfill items, so keeping them out when we can is a meaningful part of responsible disposal.
