Appliance Removal

Old refrigerators, dead washers, and broken units don't belong in a driveway. We haul them out and dispose of them the right way.

Old stainless steel gas stove pulled out and staged for appliance removal

Major appliances are heavy, often leak fluids, and in some cases contain refrigerants that require specific handling under state and federal regulations. We remove old and non-working appliances from kitchens, laundry rooms, garages, and rental turnovers, and route each one to the right disposal or recycling channel instead of a curb pile.

Why True North

Appliances with refrigerant, refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units, get handled according to proper disposal guidelines rather than just tossed in a landfill load. That's a detail a lot of one-truck haulers skip.

Questions

Appliances FAQ

Do you take refrigerators and freezers with refrigerant still in them?+

Yes. Refrigerant-containing appliances are handled according to proper disposal guidelines, not just loaded in with everything else.

Can you disconnect a washer or water heater before hauling it?+

We can move already-disconnected units. For hardwired or plumbed appliances like water heaters, we recommend having a plumber or electrician disconnect it beforehand so we can get straight to hauling on the day of pickup.

Do you pick up appliances from rental properties for landlords?+

Regularly. Appliance turnover between tenants is one of our most common landlord and property manager calls, see our Commercial page for recurring service options.
